The Navy has recovered the two aircraft lost off the USS Nimitz in the South China Sea on Oct. 26 , the U.S. 7th Fleet said in a statement on Dec. 8.

On Dec. 5, the Navy recovered the F/A-18F Super Hornet and MH-60R Seahawk that went down in the waters of the South China Sea while conducting routine operations from the Nimitz aircraft carrier on Oct. 26. The Nimitz is now in route to return to Naval Base Kitsap and scheduled for decommissioning .
