Drivers on River Road will soon have to slow down, after a state panel voted to lower the speed limit Dec 9.

The Oregon Speed Zone Review Panel , which evaluates requests from local governments to change speed limits, approved a request from Eugene and Lane County to lower the speed limit on River Road through the Santa Clara area.
