UNION COUNTY, Tennessee — The Union County Sheriff's Office has confirmed that an inmate is back in custody, after he was reported "missing" from the Union County Jail.
UCSO said the inmate, identified as Christopher Greene, was able to "get through a lock" and then bust out a window. He then jumped down onto a cage and climbed out of the jail, UCSO said.
The office said he was being held at the Union County Jail for Claiborne County, with no charges out of Union County at the time.
The Knox County Sheriff's Office was also confirmed to have helped in the response. USCO said the Tennessee Highway Patrol and Claiborne County Sheriff's Office also assisted.
