LAREDO, Tex. (KGNS) - Laredo Police Department and Drug Enforcement Agency officers executed search warrants at three locations across the city early Dec. 9, with one operation requiring a controlled detonation to gain entry.
The coordinated raids began shortly before 6 a.m., with the primary operation taking place in the 1900 block of Ejido in the Santo Niño neighborhood. Additional warrants were served at addresses on the 5500 block of Marlin and at 100 Northpoint.
Joe Baeza from the Laredo Police Department said all locations were raided simultaneously during the early morning hours.
“These areas were raided simultaneously in early morning hours, one particular had to utilize a controlled detonation to open an area by a steel gate,” Baeza said.
