SIOUX CITY (KTIV) - Sioux City’s Tyson Events Center held the Battle for the Red Banner as Siouxland’s own Northwestern College competed for the NAIA Women’s National Volleyball Championship.
The Red Raiders’ match against the Indiana Wesleyan Wildcats began at 7 p.m. on Tuesday, Dec. 9.
The Wildcats were able to beat the Red Raiders, claiming the national championship with a victory, three sets to one.
Northwestern was the second-seeded team for the tournament, coming into the championship game with an overall season record of 33-3, with a 16-0 GPAC conference record.
The Wildcats were the fourth-seeded team, with an overall season record of 32-4, and a conference record of 17-1.
Tuesday night’s game was a rematch of the 2023 NAIA National Volleyball Championship. That year, the Red
