SUN PRAIRIE, Wis. (WKOW) -- The City of Sun Prairie held its first-ever Repair Cafe at the public library Tuesday evening.
Residents brought small appliances, electronics, clothing, bicycles, and other household items to repair alongside skilled volunteers. The event also offered food and refreshments and focused on building community and promoting sustainability.
"Sustainability is a top priority in Sun Prairie, and it's a priority in the world. Resources are limited, and protecting them is really important to conserve our usage of items," said Hannah Best, sustainability program coordinator for the city.
Organizers plan to hold another Repair Cafe in April.
