At low tide, the animals were out of the water, officials said. They were found active and alive.

The International Fund for Animal Welfare's Marine Mammal Stranding Response Team came to the scene.

The dolphins were checked out in a preliminary exam before being brought by a marine animal transport vehicle for a full evaluation.

Officials will determine whether more care is needed before the animals are released back into the wild.
