TOLEDO, Ohio — Facing a budget deficit in the millions, Toledo Public Schools is weighing several major changes , and some Beverly neighborhood parents say they’re unsure whether they’ll stay in the district if those plans move forward.
The Beverly neighborhood is a feeder for Bowsher High School, and Beverly Elementary is one of the district’s strongest-performing schools. But families are now questioning whether that connection will remain. Some parents told WTOL 11 they love Beverly Elementary, but not enough to overlook what’s being proposed.
One parent, Whitney Drouillard, says her two children are thriving at the school.
“Beverly, I should say, is a great school, love all the teachers, the superintendents, everything," Drouillard said.
