PIMA COUNTY, Ariz. — The son of a missing man has been arrested by the Pima County Sheriff's Department as the search continues for determining the whereabouts of the 72-year-old.
Sitharamanjaneyulu Potiny was reported missing on Aug. 29 after he was last seen in a neighborhood located south of Tucson. The sheriff's department said new information suggests Potiny may have been near the Mount Lemmon Trailhead, located northwest of Tucson.
On Sept. 3, detectives arrested Vamsi Potiny, the missing man's son, for allegations of endangerment and vulnerable adult abuse after establishing probable cause.
On Dec. 9, the Pima County Sheriff's Department said its homicide unit obtained an arrest warrant for 42-year-old Vamsi Potiny. PCSD said Vamsi Potiny is facing multiple felony charges, includ
