WALHALLA, S.C. —

A traffic stop in Oconee County, South Carolina, has led to the arrests of two men on drug trafficking charges.

While patrolling near Salem on Monday evening, a deputy with the Oconee County Sheriff's Office noticed a Honda Accord crossing the center line multiple times. The driver of the vehicle also ran a stop sign at the intersection of Cresswood Drive and Flat Shoals Road.

As the deputy initiated a traffic stop, he observed a small baggie fly out of a window of the Accord and onto the road.

The deputy found the baggie, which contained a quantity of narcotics. Prescription medication was also found in the vehicle.

According to arrest warrants, 7.37 grams of fentanyl was seized along with 23 pills of Klonopin.
