NEW CARLISLE, Ind. (WNDU) - The St. Joseph County council is expected to vote Tuesday night on a controversial data center proposal near New Carlisle.
That proposal has continued to move forward despite unfavorable recommendations from multiple local bodies.
The proposed data center would be the third in St. Joseph County if approved.
It was Monday night that St. Joseph County leaders met to build support for this new data center.
The St. Joseph County council has yet to make a final decision on rezoning for a new data center in the west portion of St. Joseph County.
There was a large public turnout at the meeting. The council chambers, auxiliary seating and additional seating on the first floor were filled.
