FIRST ALERT WEATHER DAY WEDNESDAY: Temperatures will start the day in the mid-30s and climb down to around freezing for the commute home in the afternoon and evening. Rain showers are expected in the morning, but with the ground now frozen, once the rain reaches the ground & pavement, there will be some concern for it to turn to ice with slick conditions on the roads. Wednesday afternoon and evening, any rain shower will begin to change back to snow with air temperatures falling back to near freezing. Lake effect snow showers should be expected at times, Wednesday evening through Thursday morning, with snowfall amounts from a dusting up to 3 inches. Plan on icy and snow-covered roads for the evening commute Wednesday through the morning commute Thursday. Wind SW turning NW 15 to 30 mph.
