Gov. Kevin Stitt has appointed a new director to head the Oklahoma Tourism and Recreation Department, assigning new leadership to an agency that in recent years has been plagued by scandals and controversies.
Amy Blackburn, who most recently served as the director of the Center for the Future of Work at Oklahoma State University, will replace Sterling Zearley, who was named as interim director last fall. He will continue to act as an advisor at the agency to oversee the transition, according to a news release.
