An 8th Oklahoma school has received a large gift from MacKenzie Scott

Northeastern Oklahoma A&M College says it’s the eighth school in the state to receive a multimillion gift from philanthropist MacKenzie Scott.

The two-year residential college in Miami – in Ottawa County in Oklahoma’s far northeast corner – said Tuesday, Dec. 9, that Scott is giving it $19 million. As with the other seven Oklahoma schools to which Scott has donated since Nov. 21, it‘s the largest gift in the history of NEO, which was founded in 1919.
