PASADENA, Texas — An 18-year-old Pasadena 11th grader has been arrested and charged with conspiracy to commit capital murder after police say he plotted with a 10th grade student to carry out a mass shooting at Pasadena Memorial High School.

Emilio Lopez was taken into custody following an investigation by the Pasadena Independent School District Police Department. According to a probable cause affidavit filed in Harris County on Nov. 25, the investigation began a day before when a peace officer received information about a possible terroristic threat at the high school located at Crenshaw Road and Preston Avenue.
