NORTH FAYETTE TOWNSHIP, Pa. —
North Fayette Township will cut back on youth programs as part of its 2026 budget plan.
“The teachers here are amazing. My daughter is loving this program,” Kaity Rhoades told Pittsburgh’s Action News 4 Reporter Jordan Cioppa. Advertisement
Rhoades’ daughter attends the four-year-old pre-school class offered by North Fayette Township.
Families in the future will not have access to the program because the township plans to eliminate its pre-school, summer camp, and after school program.
“Unfortunately, our local community just doesn’t have the capacity as far as childcare programs, after school programs, summer programs, doesn’t have the capacity or the openings to be able to support the displacement of those children,” Rhoades said.
