BELLEVUE, Neb. —

The Bellevue Chamber of Commerce, Offutt Advisory Council and tons of local businesses came together Tuesday to complete Operation: Holiday Cheer.

The decades-long tradition is about giving back to Offutt airmen during the holidays.

Bags filled with snacks, holiday cards hand-written by Bellevue Public School students, a $50 grocery store gift card and $25 gift card to a restaurant. Each bag has an approximate value of $130.

"We have 500 bags we're filling; there's 468 people in the dorms right now," said the president & CEO of the Bellevue Chamber of Commerce, Diane Bruce.

First Sergeants will deliver the bags to people in those Offutt dormitories.
