New York‘s obsession with New Jersey food continued Tuesday with the New York Times ’ list of the best dishes of the year.
The publication just released their list of the 23 best restaurant dishes they ate across the country in 2025 . Along with mac and cheese in Texas, blowfish tails in Charleston and tacos in Los Angeles was one dish served in the Garden State.
Chief restaurant critic Ligaya Mishan named the lau chingri at Korai Kitchen in Jersey City one of the best things she ate this year. Here’s what she had to say about the dish, which features a vegetable known as bottle gourd sautéed with prawns:
