Shoppers have been urged to check their Christmas and New Year party drink stashes after a recall was issued for a popular tipple. Some bottles of Disaronno Originale have been deemed "unsafe to drink".
The Food Standards Agency (FSA) issued an official alert on Tuesday, December 9, on behalf of makers Illva Saronno for the bestselling Italian liqueur. The agency warned that selected batches may contain small pieces of glass.
Anyone who has bought an affected bottle has been advised not to drink it. Instead, they can return it to the store from where it was bought to receive a full refund or replacement.
