An urgent meeting has been called with the Justice Secretary to discuss the teenage asylum seekers who raped a girl in Warwickshire . On Monday (December 8), Afghan asylum seekers Jan Jahanzeb and Israr Niazal were both locked up, having admitted to raping the 15-year-old girl in Leamington Spa on May 10.
Judge Sylvia De Bertodano took the rare decision to allow the two 17-year-old Afghan asylum seekers to be named. The court heard how they had marched the girl, who was 'eight or nine out of ten drunk' across the park, to a secluded area and forced her to perform oral sex on them both.
Jahanzeb to ten years, eight months' and Niazal to nine years and 10 months. Neither are guaranteed deportation but the Judge said that she would be recommending that both are deported. Matt Western
