Donald Trump ’s startling attack on Sir Sadiq Khan was flatly rejected by Cabinet minister Lisa Nandy.

The Culture Secretary sprung to the London Mayor ’s defence, telling of her ‘pride’ in what he had achieved.

In his latest outburst against Sir Sadiq, the US president claimed he had been elected to City Hall because of the number of migrants in London.

“Look at... your Mayor of London. He’s a disaster. He’s a disaster,” Trump said in an interview with Politico.

“He’s got a totally different ideology of what he’s supposed to have. And he gets elected because so many people have come in.”
