Gov. Dan McKee will preach the "affordability" mantra adopted by Democrats across the country for his reelection pitch to voters in 2026.

Facing a tough battle for another four years in office , McKee is set to propose a set of policies in January intended to help Rhode Islanders with the cost of living, starting with a tax cut for retirees and a plan to trim utility bills .
