At Agenda Aaj Tak 2025, Aamir Khan spoke openly about the kind of films he chooses, his image as a "thinking actor," and why conviction, "not paisa ", matters more than money in filmmaking. The actor said he never planned to make meaningful or message-driven cinema, but simply followed the stories that moved him.

Aamir explained that the films he is drawn to are rarely simple. " Jo kahaani mujhe pasand aati hai, vo tedhi hoti hai. Isse main bilkul khush nahi hoon. Isme tension hai (The stories I like are usually complicated. I am not happy about that at all; it brings a lot of tension)," he said.

He added that even though he has done big commercial films like Ghajini and Dhoom 3, his heart often leads him toward risky choices. " Maine ek adh commercial mainstream film ki hai -- Dhoo
