When Episcopal Collegiate's girls closed the gap to two points, Pulaski Academy found a way to make the key plays down the stretch in a 56-47 victory at Championship Gym on Tuesday night in Little Rock.
The host Lady Wildcats (6-2) trimmed a 37-29 deficit to 40-38 thanks to 3 three-pointers by Catherine Crow to close out the third quarter.
After a jumper by Pulaski Academy's Greenlee Elmore to start the fourth quarter made it 42-38, Episcopal Collegiate's Abby Edwards scored to close it to 45-42 before Ellie Robken made a three-pointer to push Pulaski Academy's lead to 45-40. Edwards responded with another basket for the Lady Wildcats to trim the margin to 45-42. Laney Marsh added two free throws at the 5:21 mark to close it to 45-44 before the Lady Bruins (7-2) started to pull away.
