New Delhi, Dec 10: India’s Nuclear Power Corporation (NPCIL) achieved a record generation of 56,681 million units of electricity in FY 2024-25, significantly reducing CO2 emissions by 49 million tonnes.

Key highlights include the continuous operation of nuclear facilities like Tarapur Atomics and Kudankulam, the inauguration of the Mahi Banswara Nuclear Power Plant, and the crossing of 50 billion units generation milestone.

Additionally, advancements were made in health and technology sectors, including the opening of a cancer hospital, a boron enrichment facility for semiconductors, and the installation of a gamma irradiator for healthcare products.

The development of high-quality niobium materials and CBRN systems for security was also noted.
