New Delhi, Dec 10: US Deputy Trade Representative Rick Switzer met with Foreign Secretary Vikram Misri in New Delhi to discuss the India-US economic partnership and ongoing trade negotiations.

The meeting aimed to explore opportunities for enhancing two-way trade and strengthening supply chains.

The US delegation, including chief negotiator Brendan Lynch, has reignited hopes for finalizing the India-US trade deal, with expectations from India to complete the initial phase of the bilateral trade agreement by the year’s end.

Ongoing negotiations include addressing reciprocal tariffs, which, if resolved, could benefit Indian exports as US tariffs are lifted.
