At least 19 people were killed killed, 16 injured after two four-storey buildings collapsed in Morocco’s Fes city on Wednesday.

AFP quoted the country’s official news agency stating that 16 were wounded, with varying degrees of gravity, and search operations were still ongoing to “save other people who may be buried under the rubble".

The injured are being treated at Fes’s University Hospital Centre.
