Google Photos is getting a major refresh for video editing on Android and iOS , with an improved editing interface and new tools to help users easily create highlight reels, add soundtracks, and custom text. Google says the updated video editor is faster and easier to use, featuring a universal timeline that lets users work on multiple clips.
The editor also gives users quick access to editing tools in a carousel toolbar underneath the timeline, letting them crop clips, add filters, adjust the audio and playback speed, and add text overlays. Google has also tweaked the interface in line with Android’s Material 3 Expressive design language, giving the editor a cleaner, more modern look.
