Playwright and Emily in Paris actor and Jeremy O. Harris was released from a Japanese jail this week after being detained for three weeks.

Harris, 36, was freed from custody Monday (December 8) after being arrested for suspicion of smuggling the psychedelic drug ecstasy on November 16, the Tomishiro Police Department confirmed to the Associated Press on Wednesday (December 10). The playwright was allegedly found to have 0.78 grams (0.0275 ounces) of MDMA in a container inside a tote bag he was carrying while traveling through Naha Airport at the time of his arrest.
