As the 2026 governor’s race heats up, Nassau County Executive Bruce Blakeman has officially entered the Republican primary.
Blakeman, joining Congresswoman Elise Stefanik, hopes to become the GOP nominee to challenge Governor Hochul next year.
“I got calls from so many business leaders, especially here in New York City, who said they think I’m the best candidate to beat Kathy Hochul,” Blakeman told NY1 on Tuesday. “I want to make us safe again in New York state.”
Political consultant Bill O’Reilly joined “Mornings On 1” Wednesday to discuss the implications.
