A Bronx man has been charged with attempted murder in the shooting of New York Jets player Kris Boyd.

Last month, the Jets star was left in critical condition after being shot in Manhattan. The cornerback was rushed to Bellevue Hospital, where teammates, family, and friends prayed for his health. A bullet hit his lung and lodged in his pulmonary artery. He was later discharged.

Footage later emerged showing Boyd on the ground being attended to by medical personnel.

The 29-year-old was in the midst of his first season with the Jets after signing with them this offseason. Fast forward almost a month, and now someone has been arrested for the shooting.
