The Colts made it official Wednesday morning, signing 44-year-old quarterback Philip Rivers to the practice squad but it wasn't the only move they made.
Brett Rypien was added to the 53-man roster from the practice squad for the first time. The Colts will need another quarterback on the roster with Daniel Jones out for the season and Riley Leonard dealing with a knee injury that has been reported as week-to-week. Whether that means Rypien is starting or backing up Rivers or Leonard remains to be seen.
