JACKSON TWP. ‒ Police are investigating a shooting in a parking lot at The Strip shopping center.
Police Chief Mark Brink said in a news release that officers were called there at approximately 8:49 p.m. Dec. 9.
"Upon arrival, officers discovered that there was disturbance between two male acquaintances," he wrote. "One of the males did brandish a firearm and fired a single shot at the other male."
He said the shooter fled before police arrived.
There were no reported injuries or property damage.
It is not clear what the dispute was about as the area features numerous retail stores and restaurants.
Brink said on the morning of Dec. 10 that no more information would be released at the time.
