The saying goes, 'you are what you eat', and it seems some families have taken this to heart when naming their children. The most popular food-inspired baby names of the past decade have been unveiled, with some truly unique choices making the list.
Reuben, a name synonymous with the classic American deli sandwich, has emerged as the nation's favourite food-related moniker, bestowed upon 13,893 boys in the last ten years. Following closely behind is Olive, a Latin name meaning 'olive tree', which was chosen 5,427 times, predominantly for girls.
Hazel, a name commonly given to girls, proved its versatility, ranking third on the list. While 3,695 girls were named Hazel, four boys also received the nut-inspired name.
