Norwegian Epic is the sole Epic-class ship operated by Norwegian Cruise Line . The ship was built in 2010 as one of NCL's first true "mega-ships" and has since undergone major refurbishments in 2015 and 2025, refreshing cabins, public spaces, and top-deck areas while keeping her distinctive Freestyle Cruising design.

Norwegian Epic introduced several NCL firsts, including the Epic Plunge bowl water slide, an Ice Bar kept below freezing, and an expansive complex of Studio staterooms with a private lounge created specifically for solo travelers, alongside Las Vegas–style entertainment in venues such as the Spiegel Tent and the main theater.
