Homemade presents are poised to take centre stage this Christmas , according to a fresh survey. Whether it's baked treats or personalised t-shirts, the study of 2,000 adults found that 27% intend to make gifts from scratch this year, creating an average of four different types of presents each.
Typically, creative gift-makers will spend just under seven hours on their handmade offerings. Many are honing their DIY abilities to produce bespoke framed prints (18%), homemade hot chocolate kits (16%), and personalised Christmas cards (34%).
Others are exploring jewellery-making, personalised candles (14%) and embroidered tote bags (12%) as distinctive gifts.
