There was a party atmosphere over in Germany on Wednesday afternoon ahead of Newcastle taking on Bayer Leverkusen in the Champions League. Some some of the United WAGs were right at the heart of it, as they joined fans to enjoy some festive cheer and the pre-match build up.

Having lost to Marseilles in their last outing in Europe, NUFC will be hoping to build on their 2-1 home in the Premier League against Burnley at St James' Park on Saturday, as they look to add to their Champions League tally, which, going into the game, stood at nine out of a possible 15, following wins against Union Saint-Gilloise, Athletic Club and Benfica and losses to Barcelona and Marseille.

An away fixture in Leverkusen is definitely a tricky one for Eddie H
