Strictly Come Dancing's Katya Jones issued a full statement following her and partner Lewis Cope's emotional exit from the dance show.

The professional dancer, 36, teared up in a heartbreaking moment on Sunday night's results episode, as the top-scoring pair, who were one of the bookies' favourite to win the competition, were axed following a tense dance-off.

Shortly after the show was broadcast, Katya admitted she was 'heartbroken' by the result, but praised the couples who will be dancing at this week's semi-final show.

Today, Wednesday, December 10, Katya has published a full statement, with a nod to the "pain" she is experiencing following the tough blow.

She wrote on Instagram: "To my magnificent Lewis Cope. This is a celebration of you!
