The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Tourism Police have been pushed into the national spotlight after a video of one of its officers revealing that the force has not received salaries for six months went viral.

The emotional clip, shared widely across Pakistan, has triggered public anger and renewed scrutiny of the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government’s handling of the specialised unit tasked with safeguarding some of the country’s busiest tourist destinations.
