MANCHESTER, N.H. —
A report released Wednesday by congressional Democrats says states along the Canadian border are losing business because of President Donald Trump's policies, including tariffs.
Some New Hampshire business owners say they typically get a lot of revenue from Canadian tourism, and they have had to adjust because of Trump's policies.
The Joint Economic Committee Report released by Democrats blames the drop in tourism on tariffs, repeatedly disrupted trade talks and Trump's general approach to Canada.
The report says that from January to October of this year, the number of cars crossing the U.S.-Canada border was nearly 20% lower than the same time last year. Mount Washington State Park officials say they have seen a "noticeable decline in Canadian visitation."
