SOUTH BEND, Ind. (WNDU) - An artist from Wisconsin is merging art, athletics, and modern storytelling to bring a new visual narrative to the Notre Dame basketball program.
Ike Wynter, who is based in Milwaukee, is known for transforming reclaimed wood into meaningful, story-driven installations.
The university reached out to him about creating a wood art piece for the basketball program, which will be unveiled later today.
Wynter joined us on WNDU 16 News Now at Noon to tell us more about his work. You can learn more by watching the video above!
The custom 6.5-foot reclaimed-wood art piece will be on display at tonight’s Notre Dame men’s basketball home game against Idaho.
