HARRISBURG, Ill. (WSIL) — A man was found guilty of murder in connection to a death investigation in Eldorado on September 7, 2025.

The guilty verdict came during a jury trial for Jesse Trout, 25, earlier in December in Saline County.

Illinois State Police earlier stated the incident happened at around 5:06 a.m. on September 7, 2025, at Benton Street and 1st Street in Eldorado.

The Saline County Coroner's Office earlier confirmed the victim was identified as Michael Wiseman, 44, of Harrisburg.

According to online court records, Trout has been scheduled for sentencing hearing on March 6, 2026 at 9 a.m. in the Saline County Courthouse.
