COLUMBUS — Organizations that help individuals and families experiencing housing instability and homelessness are receiving less money from state grants during this funding cycle, according to northwest Ohio housing program leaders.
“Obviously, we’re going to have to cut services to some degree,” said Julie Embree, executive director of the Toledo Lucas County Homelessness Board.
TLCHB will receive a $582,800 grant to provide rapid re-housing assistance, and is expected to serve 91 households during the two-year grant period. This is an approximately 27 percent cut from the last funding cycle, Ms. Embree said.
