The San Francisco 49ers continue to make changes to their practice squad. After recently opening the practice window for quarterback Kurtis Rourke, the team released Adrian Martinez from the practice squad. Martinez returned to the New York Jets on Wednesday.
Eddy Pineiro is back practicing, which also means there is no need for kicker Matt Gay. Wide receiver Javon Baker filled one of those spots on the practice squad, but there was still another spot open.
The Niners filled that spot late Wednesday morning by signing cornerback Isaiah Bolden to the practice squad. Bolden was drafted in the seventh round by the New England Patriots in 2023.
