Asheville and other communities are expected to see another bout of wintry weather before a slight thaw heading into the weekend.

The National Weather Service has issued a hazardous weather and wind advisory for communities in the North Carolina mountains on Wednesday, Dec. 10, starting at 10 a.m. ET, into Thursday, Dec. 11, at 10 a.m. ET. During the 24-hour period, people could see high winds during the day with rain and even some snow showers coming in on the evening of Dec. 10.
