MADISON, Wis. — USA Today has ranked the Wisconsin State Capitol Rotunda Holiday Tree as No. 7 in the "Best Public Holiday Lights Display."
This 30-foot balsam fir features ornaments made by students and was lit last Thursday. The official theme for the tree is "The Learning Tree," highlighting bus drivers, school nurses, staff, and education professionals.
Public voting ended on Dec. 1, with Duluth, Minn.'s Bentleyville "Tour of Lights" taking the top spot.
This year's tree is celebrated for its beauty, with Capitol staff noting it is "one of the best-looking trees the Capitol has displayed in years."
