SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (WLNE) — MSPCA-Angell Law Enforcement said that it seized more than 60 birds Wednesday during a search warrant in Springfield related to an investigation into alleged cockfighting.
MSPCA said that the birds were allegedly found “ living in multiple structures in a manner commonly associated with cockfighting operations.”
The birds were brought to an “undisclosed location” where they would be held while the court process took place.
MSPCA said that cockfighting is illegal in the United States.
