WETHERSFIELD, Conn. (WFSB) - A woman is facing multiple charges following a pursuit through three Connecticut towns on early Monday morning.
At around 1:40 a.m. a trooper who was patrolling the area of I-91 southbound near the Exit 26 off-ramp in Wethersfield witnessed a vehicle parked on the right shoulder and partially blocking the travel lane, according to state police.
A woman was seen slumped over the wheel while the car was still running.
The on scene trooper deployed stop sticks as a precaution, then approached the car. The driver was described to be in a “dazed and confused” state.
Police told the driver to turn off the vehicle and step out, but the driver did the exact opposite and drove off, hitting the stop sticks.
