LANSING – A 65-year-old man was the fourth person shot in three days in Lansing after gunfire erupted in the parking lot of a motel in south Lansing.
Lansing police on Dec. 10 found the man with a graze wound to his back after responding to the motel in the 3600 block of Dunckel Road about 8 a.m., Lansing Police Public Information Director Jordan Gulkis said.
She said police believe an argument in the parking lot escalated into shots being fired, and a round went through a motel wall into a room, striking the man, who was otherwise not involved in the incident.
The man was transported to a Lansing area hospital with minor injuries.
No arrests have been made, Gulkis said, as police work to find suspects involved in a string of shootings this week.
