HUNTINGTON, W.Va. (WSAZ) - With another round of snow expected Friday, AAA says now is the time to make sure your car can handle winter weather in case you find yourself stranded on the side of the road.
Lori Weaver Hawkins with AAA said you should start with the essentials: check your battery, tire pressure, wiper blades, and all fluids — especially windshield washer fluid that won’t freeze.
“Don’t assume that you have enough and think that you can get through,” Hawkins said. “It’s amazing how much washer fluid you can go through these winter months with a lot of the snow getting kicked up as you’re driving and making a mess on the windshield. ”
If you do get stuck, an emergency kit can make a tough situation safer.
